Art

I'm currently working toward setting up an income from my art. Right now that includes working on:

  • fleshing out this website, including adding personality, pretty/fun things, and figuring out SEO
  • setting up commissions
  • adding more to my ko-fi
  • debating how I want to relate to social media, personally and as a 'professional artist'
  • digitally painting things I could see myself selling as prints or PC desktop backgrounds

Personal

I'm enjoying a brief stint between 'real jobs' where I can revert to my normal night owl ways and play games with my friends without restricting bedtimes. 😈

After some surprise video encounters I'm realizing that most, if not all, of my views align with anarchy. As I learn more about anarchy I've found myself thinking things like, "wow, this is exactly how I feel but articulated way better than I could ever describe it myself." Now comes the period of my life where I figure out what this means for me, including doing more research on practical examples and figuring out the little ways that I can empower myself and others. Interestingly, learning about anarchy is allowing me to be more compassionate toward myself and others. While I've always prided myself in being compassionate to other people, somehow learning about anarchy makes it easier to see myself as just the same as the others I am compassionate toward, making it easier to experience self-compassion now, which is something I always struggled with in the past. I'm still learning how to be compassionate toward myself, but it's getting easier now.

Pets

I just recently got a Sea Monkeys kit because I think brine shrimp are cute and I have a lot of nostalgia for them. I had a red Ocean Zoo tank of them as a kid, with large and healthy adults, until my cousin accidentally knocked them off my windowsill.

Did you know a group of brine shrimp is called a colony or a cloud?

I've tentatively named the purple tank that I set up today the Night Terror Colony, after the group I play deinonychus with on Path of Titans' community server, Ancient Isles Realism.

My void cats are, as always, adorable and rambunctious.

Games

As always, I revisit Path of Titans off and on, mostly playing in realism servers. Other than that, I play whatever strikes my brief attention. As of now that means Spyro Reignited (playing the 3rd game right now) and playing through all of the demos I installed from the recent space/scifi feature on Steam.

In my endless love of browser based pet games, when I found a link to a game I'd never heard of, Pixel Cat's End, I instantly checked it out and happened to find them right when there was an open registration period. It's only been a day since I started my account but I'm so excited to play that I'm vibrating as I sit here waiting for the day turnover.
